Scotchgard™ & NOCROMO   - Scotchgard™; Scotchgard™ protected leather is a new development in leather tanning. The process takes place during tanning, making the leather inherently protected against current disasters; water, oil and stains. The new process means the leather protection is within the leather itself and not as a "coating" on the leather surface; it is imperceptible to the eye and to touch as well as leaving no residual odours. By the new Scotchgard™ process, light coloured leathers can be used confidently in applications where previously they were considered un-suitable. This means office seating no longer has to be 'black - derigueur'. Overall benefits are: easier cleaning, better protection against dirt, stains, alcohol, improved leather applications and finally, the look of the leather remains for a dramatically longer period.   - NOCROMO; The CHROME FREE leather is particularly suitable for persons sensitive or allergic to chrome. De-chroming is an innovative process that takes place after the leather is tanned. The process neutralizes the chromium salt deposits that remain after the process to enhance the softness and breatheability of the leather.
