ENVIROMENTAL CERTIFICATION

UNI EN ISO 14001:2004

Pollution, smog and the depletion of the ozone layer, are now world-wide concerns. The modern consumer is well -aware of the ecological problems that the world authorities are facing. More and more consumers now require precise information on the products that they buy and are turning towards ’environment-friendly’ products.

In recent years Leyform has improved the environmental “impact” of its production developing an environmental management system aimed at getting the Environmental Certification UNI EN ISO 14001:2004, which has been finally granted by the international certification company DNV - Det Norske Veritas in September 2005.

The fundamental principles that the company intends to follow and which are indicated on the ENVIROMENTAL POLICY document of the Enviromental Certification UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 are given below :

- LEYFORM S.p.A. maintains that Environmental management is a fundamental element for the future development of the company and considers it a useful tool to define and obtain the companies targets.
- LEYFORM S.p.A. takes into consideration the environmental impact at all stages of production and servicing, involving all external and internal activities that may have a direct and indirect effect; for this reason the company philosophy, actions, behaviour and the products themselves, must reflect this strategic and operational choice..
- LEYFORM S.p.A. has undertaken this commitment to manage environmental issues with the following aims:

1. to put into effect and maintain an efficient environmental management system according to the UNI EN ISO 14001: 2004 requirements, while building and maintaining the necessary organizational structure;
2. to take the necessary measures to ensure that its activities satisfy the legal requirements with respect to all locals, national and international rules regarding environmental safety;.
3. to obtain a constant improvement in environmental efficiency and to promote a positive approach to ecological questions and problems.
